Copy Editor / Page Designer
The Hawaii Tribune-Herald, a 19,000-circulation daily newspaper located in Hilo on the Big Island of Hawaii, has an opening for a talented copy editor/page designer.
We are looking for a fast, efficient self-starter who loves the challenge of putting together news and feature pages each and every day. Job duties include designing, paginating, copy editing and headline writing. In short, you need to be able to do it all.
Ideal candidate will have at least three years of copy editing and design experience at a daily newspaper (not including college). Must be skilled with Photoshop and InDesign. Journalism degree preferred but not required.
Salary: $40K-$46K, depending on experience, plus generous benefits package. Two-year commitment required. News Editor

Successful candidate for this full-time position will manage news coverage, edit copy and plan layout of pages for The North Little Rock Times, Maumelle Monitor and Sherwood Voice. The news editor, who works out of the Little Rock regional office, supervises reporters on a daily basis, assigns stories as needed and arranges coverage by stringer reporters and photographers. This person also manages input of news copy that comes into office. Some pagination is required.

Network Engineer's role is to plan, direct and coordinate the design, installations and connectivity of computer and network systems to ensure the stable operation of the organization's IT assets. Videographer
Ideal candidate must have strong proficiency with Final Cut Pro and Flash development, camera shooting skills, audio editing, standard subject lighting and knowledge of After Effects and/or Motion. The ability to set up and conduct shoots in a variety of settings and with rapid turn-around time is essential. The successful candidate should be able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and should feel comfortable meeting several deadlines thoughout the day.
Qualifications: A basic understanding of multimedia journalism is desired but not essential; the willingness to adapt to learn quickly is. Required skill set: Final Cut Pro, Adobe CS suite, iLife, Audacity, Quicktime Pro, After Effects.
